AWOLNATION – Not Your Fault Remix

I’ve been working on a remix of “Not Your Fault” by AWOLNATION for a contest held by Indaba Music with my brother/longtime collaborator Falling Iris. We finished it over the weekend and it’s ready for your listening pleasure. It’s a dubstep-influenced take on a Major key song (which is rare in dance music), and I’m quite happy with the results. Take it for a spin and let me know what you think!

I put together a Beatport chart with my Top 10 Dubstep / Electro Tracks of 2011. It was really hard narrowing all the amazing music down to just 10 choices, but these are all solid tracks that I can’t get enough of. Oh and of course I had to throw in my remix of Sasha’s “Cut Me Down”… Check it out here:

Cut Me Down (The Never After Remix) – Sasha

This is the remix that kicked everything into high gear. I had been producing electronic music off and on for years, but I never really pursued it until I saw this contest on Beatportal. Airdrawndagger was one of my favorite Electronic albums ever, and I really liked the fact that Sasha was doing the judging for the contest himself. Plus they were sending not just the winner, but the Top 14 entries to Ibiza for a week to participate in Burn Studios’ first Producer Bootcamp. I figured it was worth a shot, and it turned out to be one of the best things I’ve ever done for my career.

Sasha released my remix (along with the other finalists) on his Last Night On Earth label in September, so if you like the remix you can grab it on Beatport.
